You should continue your health benefits under COBRA if you(re):
- Had comprehensive benefits
- Like your current doctor
- Want continuous, guaranteed coverage
- Have health problems
- Current premiums remain lower than private health insurance thanks to the 65% government subsidy
- On expensive medications
- You been declined for private insurance
- Have a history of medical problems
- Have an accident within the 60 day window of enrollment
- Pregnant or planning to get that way
- New employer does not offer a health plan
