My former employer cancelled my coverage stating that I failed to
make the payment however the payment was made and I have the email
confirmation message & they acknowledged receipt of the payment. Their
claim is there was an error in the processing of the payment but I did not
become aware of any error until I attempted to make a payment in the next
My wife is undergoing cancer treatments which we cannot afford without the
insurance and she will be uninsurable if this cancellation remains in place.
I have disputed their ruling but I have been told that it may take 60+ days
to receive a decision and I have until the end of the month to have this
Since the payment was made and the error was on them, why should there even
be an issue & more importantly what are my options to force them to
reinstate the coverage?
