COBRA insurance problems (with solutions) I have gotten though Email

Help. We are having trouble with my PAST employer - they sent my termination letter with a continuation form. We filled out the form and mailed it back with a check so that my coverage would not stop. Now we have no coverage - need to talk to someone to explain the mess. Did your past employer cash your check? Did you return mail it certified? Lastly, are you healthy, so you can get a better deal on private health insurance?
