Prior to June a payment was made to Cobra for coverage. I have recently gone to the pharmacy to pick up a presription and my insurance is not in the computer and valid. Since payment has been made and coverage commenced, I should be in all systems.

I need my prescription and will not pay in advance an amount that far exceeds my insurnace coverage.

Since you paid for COBRA on time, your premium should have been forwarded to the health insurance carrier. That could be where the glitch is. Either way, if you qualified for cobra, paid for cobra but didn't get cobra, they owe you some money.

Call them and send certified mail memorializing the events. Then tell them to fix the situation. Do you qualify for private health insurance? Much cheaper and less games.

How did your situation go, are you still not getting your meds? You may want to go ahead and prepay save all your receipts in demand reimbursement. Do not relent.
