I live in Annapolis MD and work for an employer who is retiring and selling the business. We only have 7 employees so how would i continue my health insurance?

Since the business is being sold, why don't you can ask the owner what the buyer's intentions are, really hard to say unless you get a copy of the purchase agreement. That may lay out who is responsible for what in regards to continuing the employer obligations under COBRA.

if the health insurance plan was terminated, you would not have cobra any longer. Simple. You can't continue something that does not exit any more.

Since the biz is being transferred to someone else, it will be up to them. If they continue the plan things may be basically unchanged. if they bring in their own people, they might kill the health plan. As long as the group health insurance is not killed just for the purposes of unenrolling those on COBRA.
