I am upper management In an Alabama manufacturing company. Our company is planning on relocating overseas, but do not want to let HR know our company will be laying off all employees. At the same time, I am curious to know what happens with my group health benefit. I can't imagine I will qualify for COBRA since we will be employing overseas workers?

will your company completely leaving the area/country? If you are ending the program there won't be any to continue under COBRA. If the companies is downsizing the continuing their health insurance if you're over 20 employees go fonder federal COBRA. If you're between 2 to 19 employees, there's no mini COBRA law as of yet for Alabama.

And with Obama as our next president-again, Health and Human Services will make sure that you get guaranteed issue coverage. Thank the affordable care act. We are the 99%, and we are winning!
