I had a signed Stipulation in regard to a divorce. Pursuant to my agreement, I was not required to provide health ins for my husband, he has Medicare for disablity, COBRA was his secondary. Since I was reeceiving a hard time receiving the premiums from him, , I went to the plan administrator and dropped COBRA effect 1/31/2004. Under the advice of my atty I was not obligated to cover him. I then went under my employers plan. I sent a certified letter to my husband (at the time) notifying him of the termination adn giving him the number of the administrator (certified/RR). He was advised by the plan admin that he could not continue coverage under COBRA. Our divorce was final 3/10/2004. Was he entitled to continue COBRA coverage? What is the notification that he should have received and from who? Dates may be important for you to answer accurately.PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!
