I read on your website that there is no state or federal law that requires an employer to extend coverage past your last day of work. In my case, I had automatic deductions for out of my paychecks for the premiums on my husband's dental policy. According to my records I was paid up through the end of December. My employer cancelled the policy on Nov 30th and the company has denied the December claim.
The insurance company would not discuss the matter, and my former employer did not respond to my attorney's request for information. I made copies of all papers and sent them to the insurance company but there has been no response.
What can I do?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
