Hi-- my wife and I have until late September to decide whether to elect COBRA. We do not want to elect due to the expense. However are we "safe" at the moment. In other words, say I have a new illness in the next month before election, and I need immediate care. I get care and bill, and then decide to elect coverage with COBRA. By electing after treatment and bill incurred, if I pay COBRA premium, will the pre-election bill be paid by COBRA plan? Thanks.
