I was laidoff from my job on 7/30/04. Today 8/10/04 I received a letter regarding my vacation pay and included in the letter was a stated deduction for my August 2004 health insurance. I received a COBRA form today to. I can't do the COBRA since its to expensive, I got my own policy until I find a job. My previous employer without my authorization deducted the monthly premium that I would pay for COBRA out of my final check. I did not authorize for COBRA insurance. Is this legal?
