My daughter was employed by Hard Rock at Universal. In May 2003 she was injured and could not work. In Sept. 2003 her group health was terminated and she was offered and accepted COBRA because she did not have enough work hours. The state COBRA expires March 2005, 18 momths from the start.
Question: Federal law requires COBRA for 18 mos from date of termination. Because of the Worker's Comp I don't believe she has been fromally terminated.
Would not federal COBRA become effective the date of termination, and over ride state law, or will COBRA terminate in March 2005
