Terminated by former employer April 21, 2004 (not for gross negligence, and have been approved for umemployment benefits). Received notifcation of COBRA benefits August 6, 2004 by insurance company. Employer notified insurance company July 28, 2004. Live in Arizona, employer based out of Calif. Received with notice, explanation of calCOBRA. I have no reservations taking this matter to court. What to do? I want to be absolutly certain of my rights and if former employer did not comply with current COBRA law. I have requested legal assistance with a local non profit organizations, unsure when I will hear from them.

Any testimonials out there on judges awarding the $110 per day of non compliance, also when 44 days are mentioned, is that business days?

I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.
