Only if the plan's coverage area included NC or the cost to cover you in NC was not prohibitive.

Most likely, you should wait until after the birth to relocate. A premature birth or one with complications (God forbid) is one of the most expensive things I can think of.

You can always check with your plan administrator and ask them about the coverage area, if it includes where you are moving to.
