Decide if COBRA aplies to you.
Did your employer have over 20 employees?
Yes? You may qualify
No? You may still qualify, depending on your States Mini Laws for COBRA?
Did you work for a non profit Church related organization?
Yes? You probably do not qualify, or if you do, the federal investigators most likley will not address any grievances.
Were you fired on July 11th for gross misconduct? If yes, you probably do not qualify for COBRA. This may be where the problem lies.
Are you recieving unemployment benefits from your work? If so, you probably weren't *officially* fired for gross misconduct.

: I was fired from my job on July 11, 2004. My helath insurance coverage was terminated on July 15, 2004. I still have yet to recieve anything from the employeer what so ever on Cobra. The employeer has not responded to any phone calls as well on this issue. It is not August 25, 2004. What are my next steps?
