My son has COBRA insurance from his previous job. He has taken a job with another company that offers insurance benefits from the 1st day. If he loses the position at his new job, how long will he have had to work to be eligible for COBRA benefits at the new job? Additionally, if he stops coverage with his 1st jobs COBRA benefits then loses his new position, can he refile for COBRA benefits from the 1st job, or does he have to file for COBRA benefits with the 2nd employer?
