How much COBRA notice is required to the employee?
My job was terminated on March 15 '04 with seven months severence. The severence ended October 15 and health coverage will end Oct. 30th. I still have not received a COBRA notice from my formaer employee. I kept calling them last week, finally they have said they will send COBRA package overnight, which I still have not received. By when should they have given me the COBRA information? How much time they are required to give me after they have notified me so that I can make a decision? What is my recourse?
