COBRA insurance is supposed to reflect similarly situated employees. If I never used my health insurance for the past year, I cannot go to my benefits department and say please give me back all the premiums you took out of my pay because I did not use my health insurance.
Insurance is just that...Just in case.
Try asking your car insurance carrier for the premiums back because you did not have an accident in the past year....
