: Well since your filed out the paperwork, sent in your payment and they gave you reciept, you are really in a good position here, given the circumstances.
: You need to talk to a labor attorney about this, because we are talking large $$. My guess is the company may settle with or without paying you a penalty.
: Find an attorney here you can talk to about your specific case, take him copies of everything, notes, etc. and let him start out with a deman note, and see where it goes. 90% of COBRA related lawsuits are settled with the employer before it ever goes to trial.
