Good question, I assume if you lost your coverage, they would pay up the date you were covered.

Why would they continue to pay with an expired contract and no payment for the coverage?

: Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated! If a patient was admitted to the hospital while the Cobra plan is in effect,however,the plan terminates while the patient is still in the hospital, can the policy just terminated the coverage or are they required to pay for the full hospital stay. The patient never left the hospital. I live in NY state. help please
