Cobra cancelled due to late payment
My cobra coverage was cancelled because the payment envelope was postmarked 11/01/2006--one day after the grace period. I had mailed it on Sunday evening, 10/29/2006 directly from the local post office. I have spoken to personnel at the post office who stated that it should have been postmarked on the 30th. I have requested that my coverage be continued and this has been denied. What alternatives do I have?
