Why not, as long as the health plan rules don't address it. You might have other employees object if they found out and the same was not done for them.

: Under our company polict a new employee is not eleigable for benefits until they complete their 90 day probation period. Can we pay the COBRA amount for a new employee to keep his benefits until he completes this probation period and how is that written into an offer letter?
