What other options are there for small business?
we have 12 employees. when letting go of employees we've run into the problem of not being eligible for cobra. I try to assist these individuals in getting their own plan, but we have someone that can't seem to get individual coverage. (she's a smoker). what can we do? we don't want to leave her in the dust? I've been trying to figure out associations she could join for their medical benefits but I don't even know where to begin?
is there anything our company can do somehow to be part of a larger pool and their for cobra eligible?
