Notification of early COBRA termination??
I have a question that I really could use some help with. I was on a COBRaPLAN under my former employer and I recently found out that they cancelled the group coverage without ever notifying me. In fact, they even cashed my check for my premium AFTER they canceled the insurance plan. I was not notifued for over 7 weeks which resulted in me incurring thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. I am planning on a samll claims action to try and get my money back for all of my medical bills that should have been convered since I paid in a timely manner and was never notified that I no longer had coverage, even though it was the company who offered it to me and told me to send them my payments, however I am looking for any information or laws that will help me in my case. I feel I have been treated completely unfairly and I can use all the help I can to fight this. Any info would be greatly appreiated.
