I have type 1 diabetes (insulin dependent) and I am currently covered under my mother's insurance. When I get married I will not be able to be covered under her insurance, but it will still be a few months before insurance from my work kicks in. Am I eligible for COBRA insurance coverage during this time? If so, how do I get it and when should I start the process?
