I currently have Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. I plan on leaving my job in a month.
I was planning on getting COBRA and move to a different city and state. But I was told by member services at Kaiser that COBRA benefits are not transferable, meaning that if I need a wheelchair or some other service, COBRA won't cover it in the new city because this is not where my ex-employer is located.

Has anyone heard of this before or have any suggestions or comments on this?
