I think so, it depends if it's in the plan rules.

: A retired teacher that is still on State of Ms group insurance plan but will be eligible for Medicare 10/1/2007. His wife however is 62 and he is being told that she can go on COBRA for 18 months-we question why it is not 36.
: Can a partially self funded group insurance plan determine their own coverage period?Please give insight Thank you.
