Getting pregnant while on Cobra

I am about 6 months away from my Cobra period ending. We would like to have another baby in the meantime and my husband is self employed. Am I understanding it correctly that if we concieve during the cobra period and I wait out the 18 months till it expires that another insurance company has to take us on and cover the pregancy and birth? Do you think that premiums would be outragish? Would we want to stay on Cobra even after the 18 months until the birth and then switch to another coverage? We want to stay with the same company that I am on with Cobra...Anthem BCBS.
