COBRA is not available after COBRA ends. However, are you disabled from the hip problem? COBRA extensions are available due to disability. Check with your health plan administrator.

: My Cobra runs out on May 31st and I have to have a hip replacment done before it lapses. Does cobra still have to cover any charges associated with the hip replacement that are incurred after the surgery? (such as follow up docter's visits for the operation after May 31)
