Well if he took your retainer and did not do any work, he owes you either some money or some work, but he can't have the $$ without the work.
how did your friend end up with him?

: I hired an Erisa attorney in Houston in 2006 and paid him a retainer. Since then, I can't get him to return my telephone calls for well over a year. I was with a friend who had an appt with him to consider her case and he didn't keep our appt.
