Since COBRA is continuation coverage of the old plan, it will depend on the coverage area that is specified in the policy. If your old company has offices in CA, than you might be covered.

But if they are in CT only, i suspect routine, non emergency coverage in CA might not be covered.

As far as overseas, most emergency care would be covered, but again, if you moved outside the US, you'd have to check with your plan administrator to verify if they would cover.

: If I am cobra-ed in Connecticut, can I move to California and still be covered while I am looking for a job?

: Also what about international travel? If I decide to go abroad and look for work?
