Since your company has legal liability if COBRA notices are not sent out, payments are not forwarded, etc. you cannot afford to make mistakes.
I would consider hiring a TPA or third party administrator if you are totally green, or if money is tight, take a class or get a book on COBRA administration / HR.

: Hello, I have recently been named the Benefit Admin for my company. We have more than doubled in size since I took the position. I would like to know what specifically my COBRA responsibilities are as an ADMIN. Is there a template for the qualifying event notices? Who manages the payments? Besides sending out the initial notice what else am I obligated to do?
: Thank you
