We are not COBRA. For specific contract details about your current company policy, contact your health plan administrator.
Group health terminates
We had group health coverage until 4/1 and the employer terminated plan due to cost. Employer is NOT offering COBRA-due to cost. Is this legal under the COBRA/ERISA laws? we have to purchase private health insurance or go on state plan. I think it benefits the employees to take advantage of COBRA with the new stimulus guidelines. Does anyone know if company is legally required to offer COBRA upon a plan termination or is it at employer's option?
