What is the qualifying event for COBRA?

The COBRA stimulus plan is not a subsidy for ALL current health insurance premiums, only people who have lost their health plan. COBRA is continuation coverage. If you still have your health insurance, there is nothing to extend through COBRA.

: COBRA takes effect after you are laid off. How about if your hours are cut by 35-50%. Can you still get help with health insurance. Right now half of my paycheck goes to health insurance. Any suggestions on alternatives?
