cancer survivor dropped due to late payment
Hi, I so upset....i just got a cancellation letter from Cobra, saying my payment was 6 days past the 30 day cut off. I am a 2 year breast cancer survivor and getting ready to have some testing done for recurrance.... I was late due to loss of faxes getting my husbands insurance re-instated on the policy after the stimulas help passed. regardless of why I was late, cobra is saying because I already elected coverage I had until March 31st to pay. I spoke to cobra on April 1st and no one told me I was past the cut off date. I have new cancer concerns, my 5 year old daughter has health concerns, my husband is without a job, our mortgage payment is 2 months late, I have a part time job but I will probably lose that, due to my daughters preschool not having it's usual summer camp.....HELP! sorry, i realize this is not the place to unload.....I do have brain fog....I just need some simply stated cobra advice. does anyone know if there is anything I can do to re-instate my cobra? or am I just out of luck?
