COBRA and WARN - coverage?
I was notified I was being laid off on 11/4/09 and my date of separation from the company is 11/27/09. However, because of the WARN act i will remain on payroll and with insurance into the new year. Does anyone know if I will be eligible for the COBRA subsidy since I was terminated on 11/27/09? It seems like I should, but no one can seem to give me an answer...just concerned the gov't may not re-up this program and I certainly can't afford almost $600 month..at the same time I also can't afford to not have insurance... :(
