Are you asking if you qualify for COBRA or the stimulus?
To qualify for the stimulus, he must have been involuntarily terminated and not terminated for gross misconduct.
By law, the former employer has 30 days to notify the COBRA administrator. They then have 14 days to send you a COBRA election notice with plans, prices, and rules. You will have 60 days from the date on the notice to decide if you wish to continue your coverage. Once you elect to continue, you then have 45 days to make the initial payment. You will be responsible to pay back to the date of coverage loss. Once you elect and pay your account current, your coverage will retro back to the coverage loss date.
