: From what I hear, none. If your former employer goes out of business or doesn't pay its group premiums you are SOL.
The employer has to continue to offer the same or equivalent group coverage to it's COBRA participants as it does to it's active employees. If the active employees aren't offered coverage, the COBRA participants will not have the option either.
