As long as you are not located in Western District of Oklahoma (court ruling), as a qualified beneficiary, You could get health insurance coverage under COBRA. You should be furnished a continuation notice by your Dad's State's health plan administator. If you are not given one, contact them. If you contact them and they deny your request, there are now 3 government federal agencies (DOL,DHS, CMS) that will straighten them out.
