Jay:

Neither bill has a COBRA premium subsidy provision. However, the House bill would require employers to extend COBRA until the state health insurance exchanges were up and running in 2013.

Fred

: The last version of the healthcare reform bill had a provision that required employers to continue to ensure Cobra participants until they obtain other insurance, even if it went beyond the 18 month period. Is that in the current legislation?
