No COBRA extension is likely. There is also no likelihood that the extension of subsidies for COBRA health insurance premiums will return. For the unemployed, the COBRA subsidy paid 65% of the premium.
Without the subsidy it is unlikely that the unemployed will be able to continue to pay for COBRA and thus will also lose their health insurance benefits.
