This is not unusual. Many employees have sticker shock when they actually find out how much the health insurance costs at their companies when they are mailed their COBRA continuation notice. If you have low income, you may qualify for certain programs through your state.

: Cobra insurance expense is $691 for just me! How can I afford that, private health insurance is about half that. But I don't think I qualify, what to do?
