Check with your state Insurance Department to see if they have a high-risk pool that you may qualify for (you may need to apply for, and be turned down for, individual health insurance first).

: Cobra insurance expense is $691 for just me! How can I afford that, private health insurance is about half that. But I don't think I qualify, what to do?
