Simply "NO" because COBRA is seemless coverage from the day your old employee coverage ended. $386 is not bad, if your coverage is good, I would jump on it before they cancel you for non payment.

You are responsible for 102% of the premium and the $386 - $316 -2% is simply their portion of your premium they you now have to pa.

: hi i was laid off on 28th oct 2004. my employer never sent my cobra paper until the 9th of feb.they want me to pay for nov.dec. and jan payments. the payments also went from 316 to 386. i dont think i should pay for there mistake and for something i could not use.can i get them to pay the back payments.thanks for your help.
