I started Medicare A & B in August of 2004 due to a kidney transplant. My employer said if I couldn't get back to work by 2-1-05 I would be terminated. I was terminated. I'm now on COBRA. I filed for SSD 12-29-04. If I am considered disabiled, would that be a qualifying event to have extended time on Cobra?
