I have been researching medical coverage rates in CA and have been told by two insurance brokers that a new CA law states the one can have Cobra for 36 months as opposed to 18. I would like to know if this is true.

We notified a couple years ago the amounts the company pays for our benes, and I would like to continue with the same coverage at what the company pays until retirement. I did read there's a 2 or 3% additional premium.
