State Continuation (Ohio)
I have a client who implemented group plan for 10 ee's effective 12/1/04. He is in the process of laying off (permanent or temporary)some employees and wants to know if he is required to offer "State Continuation" benefits. I understand that you need to be terminated, had continuous coverage for 3 months, and eligible for unemployment to qualify for 6 month state continuation. Does lay off (perm or temp) qualify?
