COBRA premiums
Suppose a former employee was having financial difficulty and Company management was okay with letting him go several months and then collecting his premiums (ie. April, May, and June paid in June). The Company sent in COBRA premiums to the administering insurance agency on time (ie. April in April). The agency said the premiums were not paid timely to the Company, thus cancelling his insurance. (The Company is partly self-funded.) Can the admistering agency cancel the insurance for non-timely payments to the Company even though they were getting their premiums on time? Thanks!
