Texas state continuation of coverage
Could you tell if an employer has less than 20 employees and they have former employee that take state continuation if the employer changes health coverage to a new company will the person on state continuation stay with old carrier? This is not a cobra group so wouldn't the former employee remain with the old carrier? Would they have to move this former employee to the new carrier. Since a former employee can call the insurance carrier and set themslf up on state continuation and be direct billed I am not sure how the employer would know if former employee took the coverage or not.
