You are correct. You have 60 days to elect COBRA, 45 days to pay. Then in subsequent months, you have to have a 30 day grace period. Sounds like this company is not in compliance with the COBRA regs.
But maybe they are saying that the premiums are due on the 20th, and then you have until the 20th to actually pay? That would be a 30 day grace, so it would be ok.
