800 Number for a COBRA Administrator?
Is there an 800 number that you can provide to me for questions regarding
COBRA? My father is older in age
and needs to ask questions. If I am correct in my understanding, there is a
60 day window from the day of separation from a previous group covered
employer to elect to pay for COBRA benefits... Am I correct in that
assertion? Any prescriptions, physicians, or even an emergency that may
have occurred within that 60 day window would be covered and reimbursed if
the individual elected COBRA, again, within that 60 day window?
Again, if there is an 800 number that he can call to get these type answers,
it would be beneficial. It is difficult to have him to take my research and
answers to heart without directly hearing it himself, and he is not computer savy. Thank you once again.
